It is planned to develop five Maths and Science Research ICT based Modules (RIM) for Lower Secondary students. In developing teaching materials the paradigm of the bite-sized eLearning is followed in order to build the RIM modules according the following procedure:

  • The smallest nuggets are mainly interactive animations which will be built open source tools, as general developer tools: HTML5 & JavaScript, or specific tools as H5P (https://h5p.org/) . These animations can run on mobile devices and are pedagogically-based in such a way that as result of its interactivity students get feedback on its performance.
  • Animations and other content are embedded in the own school LMS (Moodle or other) aimed at a Learning Outcome. Student performance can be monitored using the LMS built-in statistics system or by any other Learning Analytics Tool.
  • Several activities will compound a learning unit that could be aggregated in a RIM module that may contain several units covering some part of the curricula.

RIMs prototypes can be visited and downloaded logging as teacher/teacher at
